Breezaire WKCE Series Cooling System Wine Fridge WKCE 2200 Overview
WKCE 2200 is a direct replacement for WKC 2200 & OEM 2200.
All Breezaire cooling systems are specialized designs that create a kind of carefully controlled environment demanded products that are highly sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. They are not intended for use in standard refrigeration applications.
By the nature of their operation, thermoelectric wine cellar cooling units will maintain a stable humidity level, lower than the relative ambient humidity. In situations where the ambient humidity is high, the wine cellar cooling units will lower the humidity to desirable storage levels. In situations where the ambient relative humidity is very low, the desired enclosure relative humidity may not be achieved without adding moisture. To add moisture to the enclosure only use slow, natural evaporation from a small porous water container. Do not use a humidifier.
The Breezaire Wine Cooler WKCE 2200 is a compact design with cold air discharge at the bottom, which makes them ideal for installation in cabinets. Because of this configuration, this cooling unit is not rated for a specified number of cubic feet. They are intended for cabinets and other constricted enclosures. These compact compressor wine cooler units are designed to cool 25°less than the ambient temperature of the venting side of the unit. In some cases, improper placement or installation may cause the unit's performance to be degraded.

Adjustable Temperature-Breezaire wine cooler unit includes an adjustable thermostat. The ideal temperature for storing and aging wine is between 50°F and 60°F.
Automatic Humidity Control- Humidity must be present in the wine cellar to prevent cork and label deterioration. The gentle cooling action of the system maintains the relative humidity in the 50% to 75% range. (Additional moisture may be required in extremely dry climates.)
Vibration Control- Breezaire cooling systems are engineered to control vibration by dampening mounts throughout the cooling system.

Bottle Probe (OPTIONAL)
Bottle Probe (OPTIONAL)
The Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used on all models. The bottle probe is used when you want to control the temperature of the wine cellar according to the liquid in the bottles. When the bottle probe is plugged into the unit it will take place of the internal air sensor.
Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days (72hours). Using a normal size wine bottle clean the bottle and then fill it with water insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it in the enclosure. Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has sufficient time to cool to the enclosure temperature (72 hours). Connect the bottle probe to the outlet located on the face of the unit. The on and off operation of the unit is now controlled by the temperature of the liquid in the bottle. The temperature displayed is that of the liquid in the bottle. Unplugging the bottle probe will return the unit to the internal air sensor and will be reading the wine cellar temperature. The bottle probe cord is 5’ long.
I purchased the WKCE 2200 as a replacement suit for the WKCE 1060 for my cooler (See Picture). The unit keeps the weir at the perfectly set temperature. The only reason I didn't;t give it a 5 is the noise, it is louder tat the 1060 I had. Love the unit, hoping it will out last the my last one.

Works like a charm!
Bought this to replace a same-sized older model cooling an under-stairs wine closet. Easy to install, working well. Digital temp readout is a great improvement over older model. Only wish it were quieter, but all I have heard are noisy. Delivered promptly with free shipping as advertised.

I've had the attractive, economical, troublefree under the counter 18" beverage fridge for well over 10 years now. Not 1 problem. When it does go I will definitely buy another one. This little Summit though expensive proves you get what you pay for.
This has been a joy to own and looks nice as well.
I'm really happy with my U-Line HWC124 wine fridge! It's not too big, but it fits 48 bottles easily. The stainless steel outside looks really nice, and it keeps my wines at just the right temperature. If you want a good wine fridge, this is the one to get!
we had our basement redone about 7 years ago. at the time we also had a wine room built. the contractor selected and installed a Breezaire WKL 3000 cooler. it worked perfectly for almost 7 years and then one day it only blew warm air. I called technical assistance at the company, and they told me I had to call a repair service to diagnose the problem. Two hundred dollars later the service tech told me that the unit had leaked all of the refrigerant and the unit would cost more to repair compared to just buying a new one. Not exactly the 20 years that others have gotten out of their unit!
Since the hole the builder put in the wall fits the Breezaire 3000 I'm kind of forced to buy another one just like it. Let's hope I get luckier this time!
I think they call it the 3000 because that's about how much it costs to replace the unit and install it!!

The purchase from Wine Coolers Empire was positive and the unit shipped fairly fast. Previously I had Cellar Cool which did not last very long. I really can not review my new unit as it is only a few weeks old. Ask me to review the unit after a few years.
Everything went fine, shipping and communication with the vendor except the unit that came was different dimensions than advertised & reported on the specs page. Since I was replacing a like unit that was 8 years old I wanted it to get the exact same unit for size. Fortunately, the width dimension was the same otherwise it would not have worked out at all...
I had the precursor WK 2200 that worked great in my small wine cellar for 22 years before starting to give out. The WKL-2200 is an easy and direct replacement. Simple installation and start up. Hoping it will outlast me.
