The Phantom series is a fully ducted self-contained system with a huge capacity. To better understand how this unit operates, we'll define these terms.
Self-contained means the evaporator and condensing units share a single housing. In contrast to split systems, where the condensing and evaporator units are separated. Many self-contained WhisperKOOL wine cooling units are installed through a wall, where cool air flows into the wine cellar through the evaporator and exhausts hot air out into an adjacent room through the condenser.
The Phantom series is fully ducted, which means it does not require installation inside the cellar. They can be mounted anywhere as long as it’s within 25 duct feet of the cellar.
