Breezaire WKSL Series 265 cu. ft. Cooling Unit Wine Fridge WKSL 2200 Overview

WKSL 2200 is a direct replacement for WKS 2200.

Breezaire WKSL Series cooling systems are special split systems that allow mounting of the cooling (evaporator) module in the enclosure to be cooled and the exhaust (condenser) module as far as 50 feet away. They are designed - when installing in a properly constructed enclosure - to provide a constant selectable temperature between 48°F and 63°F while maintaining 50% to 75% relative humidity.

Breezaire WKSL 2200 is designed for easy installation by any, properly equipped with compressor wine cooler system, qualified air conditioning or refrigeration service technician. Two copper tubes connect the two modules and power is hard wired to the units using an adequately sized 110 AC volt electrical source. These Breezaire systems must be charged with refrigerant during installation. The WKSL series uses Breezaire's rugged adjustable mechanical thermostat.

HUMIDITY & INSTALLATION: By the nature of their operation, Breezaire wine cellar cooling units will maintain a stable humidity level, lower than the relative ambient humidity. In situations where the ambient humidity is high, the compressor wine cooler unit will lower the humidity to desirable storage levels. In situations where the ambient relative humidity is very low, the desired enclosure relative humidity may not be achieved without adding moisture. To add moisture to the enclosure only use slow, natural evaporation from a small porous water container. Do not use a humidifier.

TEMPERATURE & INSTALLATION: These wine cellar cooling units are designed to cool 25° less than the ambient temperature of the venting side of the unit. In some cases, improper placement or installation may cause the unit's performance to be degraded. The condensing unit must have a constant supply of fresh air, less than 85°F. If the condensing unit is located in a confined area with poor ventilation, the unit will not be able to reject the heat it is removing from the enclosure and a malfunctioning unit will be suspected, even though the unit is mechanically sound. Note: The WKSL Series is designed for simple setup by qualified air conditioning or refrigeration technicians with the right equipment. Installation involves connecting the two modules with copper tubing and low-voltage wiring, and supplying power through a properly sized 110V AC source. These systems require refrigerant charging during installation. Each unit is equipped with the Sentry III+ digital control system to ensure precise management of enclosure conditions.

Bottle Probe (OPTIONAL)

BOTTLE PROBE (OPTIONAL)

The Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used on all models. The bottle probe is used when you want to control the temperature of the wine cellar according to the liquid in the bottles. When the bottle probe is plugged into the unit it will take place of the internal air sensor.

 

How to use the Bottle Probe:

Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days (72hours). Using a normal size wine bottle clean the bottle and then fill it with water insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it in the enclosure. Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has sufficient time to cool to the enclosure temperature (72 hours). Connect the bottle probe to the outlet located on the face of the unit. The on and off operation of the unit is now controlled by the temperature of the liquid in the bottle. The temperature displayed is that of the liquid in the bottle. Unplugging the bottle probe will return the unit to the internal air sensor and will be reading the wine cellar temperature. The bottle probe cord is 5’ long.
