Wine Guardian Defrost Sensor 39H0040-02

Freeze-Protection Sensor for Units Running the Current Remote Interface

What Wine Guardian Publishes for Sensor 39H0040-02

Wine Guardian publishes a part number, a description, a control-generation fitment statement and one note about adding the sensor after purchase. It lists no associated documents for the part.

Which Wine Guardian Units Take the 39H0040-02 Sensor

Wine Guardian keys this sensor to the control generation rather than to a model list: it is used in all Wine Guardian units with its current remote interface controller. The question to answer before ordering is therefore which interface your unit runs, not which cooling configuration it is.

Whether the unit is a ducted, ducted split, ductless split or ceiling-mount or through-the-wall system, the deciding factor is the interface generation. The interface Wine Guardian currently lists in its own catalog is the Remote Interface Controller 91H0105-01, and the defrost input that this sensor feeds is one of the settings that interface exposes, with enable and disable control and its own cut-in and cut-out set points.

• ✓Wine Guardian units running the current remote interface controller
• ✓Keyed to the control generation, not to the cooling configuration
• ✓Can be added after purchase for freeze protection

Because Wine Guardian publishes a family statement rather than a list, read the model and serial number from the data plate on your unit and check them against the documentation for your model on our Wine Guardian manuals and spec sheets page. Send them to us and our team will confirm the part number, or ask Wine Guardian's parts department to identify the unit from the serial number.

Fitting Freeze Protection to a Unit That Did Not Have It

Wine Guardian states that this sensor can be added to a unit for freeze protection after purchase, so it is not restricted to like-for-like replacement. That is a genuine retrofit option rather than an inference from the part description.

Whether the addition suits your unit and your installation, and how it is carried out, is for a licensed HVAC professional or qualified contractor to determine from official Wine Guardian documentation. Other control-circuit parts stocked here include the Control Board MCB 39H0043-00 and the Fan Cycle Switch 32H0026-00, each with its own separate fitment statement.
