Wine Guardian Evaporator Coil for D050, DS050, DP50, SP50 53H0070-01

The Wine Guardian Evaporator Coil 53H0070-01 is the genuine replacement evaporator coil that Wine Guardian lists for the D050, DS050, DP50 and SP50 systems, where it is the cold coil that takes heat out of the air returning from the cellar.

The fitment here is clean: one coil, one size class, all four configurations of it. Wine Guardian's own product listing puts it plainly as the evaporator coil for all D050, DP50, SP50 and DS050 units. It is also a supersession, replacing the earlier 53H0024-02, so an older cabinet may carry that number on the coil itself. As an authorized Wine Guardian dealer we supply genuine Wine Guardian parts.

Wine Guardian publishes this coil for the four 050-class systems and records the number it superseded. The weight and dimension figures below are the ones printed on Wine Guardian's own product listing for this part.

Wine Guardian lists 53H0070-01 for the D050, DS050, DP50 and SP50. Configuration does not change the part inside the 050 class, and no unit outside that class takes it.

The four are the D050 and DP50 on the ducted side and the DS050 and SP50 on the split side, and all four sit together in the large cellar band, 2,200 to 4,500 cubic feet.

Neighbouring size classes take different numbers. The 25-class systems use the 53H0068-01 and the 088-class systems use the 53H0072-01, so a coil ordered off the configuration rather than the size class will not fit.

Read the part number from the old coil or the model designation from your unit's data plate and match it against Wine Guardian's published parts list before ordering. Legacy units are the usual place a number surprises somebody, because the coil that shipped in the unit may no longer be the number Wine Guardian supplies. A coil is part of the sealed refrigeration circuit of the unit, so fitting a replacement is work for a licensed HVAC professional or qualified refrigeration contractor working to Wine Guardian's official service documentation.

If the data plate turns out to read 025 or 088 rather than 050, the numbers are the 53H0068-01 evaporator coil and the 53H0072-01 evaporator coil respectively. For an older cabinet Wine Guardian also publishes the 94H0037-00 rework kit for legacy D025, D050, DS025 and DS050 units, which is the route when more than the coil is being brought up to current specification.
