Installation Requirements
Proper installation is critical for reliable wine cellar performance. Before purchasing the WhisperKOOL SC PRO 2000, confirm the following:
The wine cellar is fully insulated.
A proper vapor barrier is installed.
The room is sealed for dedicated wine storage.
The exhaust side has adequate ventilation.
A dedicated 20-amp circuit is available.
The condenser air intake temperature does not exceed 85°F.
A wine cellar cooling unit works best in a well-insulated and sealed room with a proper vapor barrier. Every wine cellar has different cooling needs, so heat load calculations are recommended before choosing a wine cellar cooling system.

BTU/h Rating
1453 BTU/h
The BTU/h value shown is an estimate and not a guarantee. Some cellar designs require a larger unit due to materials or conditions not fully reflected by room volume alone, including glass, stone, concrete, inadequate insulation, high ceilings, or warmer ambient environments.
Choosing an undersized unit may prevent the cellar from reaching the desired wine storage temperature and may contribute to premature equipment strain.
WhisperKOOL replacement parts and accessories can help support performance, protection, and installation flexibility. View the full WhisperKOOL Parts and Accessories collection.
UV-C Light Technology
UV-C Light Technology helps reduce mold and bacterial growth inside the cooling system and can support long-term equipment cleanliness.
WhisperKOOL Exterior Grille
The exterior grille protects the exhaust side of the SC PRO Series unit when installed through an exterior wall.
The WhisperKOOL SC PRO 2000 is best suited for properly insulated residential wine cellars up to approximately 300 cubic feet where a self-contained through-the-wall cooling solution is preferred.
If your cellar includes extensive glass, stone, concrete, high ceilings, exterior walls, or other unusual heat load factors, a larger cooling unit may be required even if the room volume appears to fall within the recommended range.
Wine Coolers Empire recommends confirming your cellar size, insulation, vapor barrier, and installation environment before ordering.

Installed this about a week ago, so far so good. A few comments: the unit runs for longer periods than I expected ( I have seen other reviews that have mentioned this also) and upon reading the manual this seems to be the norm. Also noise level is a little higher than I thought it would be. For me it is ok as the unit is in an area that is not occupied that much but if you had this in a bedroom or high occupancy area it might be little much.
Installation was straight forward. I had to run a new dedicated electrical line which was more work than the actual installation.
I researched the unit and manuals to make sure it would fit where I needed, the directions stated that the unit is "almost flush with the exterior wall" when placed in position 3, (furthest in). Well it's not; it actually sticks out about 3 inches and the drain port with connector makes it about 4 inches or more. I had to make some adjustments on a door that was near the unit so it would clear.
All that said the unit has been keeping the temperature stable, so happy so far.

Great Product
I purchased a replacement for my 17 y.o. WhisperKOOL 1600 XLT. The SC PRO 2000 was recommended and I placed the order with Wine Coolers Empire because of good reviews, a favorable price and delivery terms.
The product installation by my Pro and was seamless. Everything is working great. The SC PRO is easier to operate and the fan is very quiet - a great improvement on the older model.
The delivery was challenging. Not clear whether the packing at distribution caused the issue or FedEx screwed up, but the product arrived a couple days late and the packaging was broken. It does not appear that the actual product was damaged in transit as everything is working fine.

Unit is in; however it is making a high pitched noise. Any advice?
FYI, I like you selection of Haut-Brion for the bottle probe sample. This property has been in my family since 1935 and is the oldest of Bordeaux. Thought you might find American ownership of interest.

SC PRO 2000 works great!
We bought the 2000 SC PRO and it works great. It keeps the temp perfect. We didn't have to do any special wiring, just plugged it in and cooled down our wine cellar. No more worries about temperature fluctuations.

I have a small space under my staircase that I converted into a small cellar. It wasn't too spacious but it is perfect for the amount of wine I usually store. I was actually looking at SC PRO 4000 but Lisa said the 2000 is the perfect cooler for the size of my cellar. I am not particularly handy and not great with measurements. So, I got 2000 which is just perfect for the size of my cellar. Thank you Lisa for your help!
